About Jerry



After twenty-four successful years with The Coca-Cola Company Jerry decided to retire in order to explore new horizons.  This choice has allowed him to expand his sphere of influence, share his business knowledge, and collaborate with a broader range of interesting people and dynamic organizations.  

He is now focusing his time and attention on areas of professional and personal interest including:  consulting, writing, speaking, and advising.  His company, JSW Consulting, LLC, founded in 2005, is dedicated to providing strategic insights that lead to action in cooperation with clients who are committed to developing brands, customers and people.


During his career with The Coca-Cola Company, Jerry advanced from a local Area Account Executive in central Florida to a Board elected Senior Vice President where he served as the global Chief Customer and Commercial Officer.  In this role he led a worldwide enterprise that looked after 204 countries, 20 million customers, and served 1.8 billion consumers a day.  Jerry was recognized as a top developer of talent in the Company and mentor to many of the key women and men in leadership positions today.  His capabilities in strategic thinking, customer development, general management, and consumer branding, combined with leading high performance teams turned around many operations. 


His Coca-Cola career took him around the world logging over 2 million miles with Delta Air Lines (which doesn't include British Air, Dragon Air, Singapore Air, Cathay Pacific . . .).  He advanced through many roles over the years with Coke, succeeding at the highest C-Suite level of the Company.

Jerry leveraged his retail automotive experience when he joined Volkswagen of America, the manufacturer and distributor for Volkswagen, Porsche and Audi brands.  He grew from an entry-level position to the USA band manager in just a few years. His keen understanding of the franchisor - franchisee synergy helped him forge strong alliances between the manufacturer and dealers leading to high sales and customer satisfaction.

    After achieving his bachelor's degree, Jerry joined the largest Ford agency in America, based in Atlanta, GA.  He led a national fleet department that specified, ordered, tracked production, shipped and delivered over 3,500 vehicles annually to key national accounts.
